Yaminiki Karanam, a young American, had no idea that was to become the protagonist of one of the more strangers medical discoveries in recent times: his embryonic twin had been 26 years in his brain.

It all began when Yaminiki, originally from Indiana, moved to Indianapolis, after graduation, to realize his dream: get a doctorate in computer science. However, in September of 2014, the things started to not go so well. Yaminiki health took a turn, and of be a healthy 26-year-old girl, went on to suffer severe dizziness and nausea. Despite all measures involving something as sensitive as this, the doctors were not prepared for what they would find inside the skull of Yamini. The tumor that was deep in the brain of Yamini Karanam was an embryo that did not develop, and that according to the doctor Sahinian was the embryonic twin brother of Yamini, which was absorbed by the body, and that was inside his head for 26 years. This type of tumor called Teratomas and had disconcerted doctors for years.

Teratoma is a tumor of embryonic origin, which is comprised of pluripotent germ cells. which means that cells that contains an embryo and which form the organs of the future human. By that reason is natural to find inside this type of tumors woven and organ components , that give to this type of formations an scary aspect . In the case of teratoma of Yamini, had presence of bones, hair and teeth, as explained by Dr. Sahinian to NBC.

Waking Up With The News

When Yamini awoke from anesthesia met with this unexpected finding. She confesses to not feel anything special for this "twin" who dwelt deep in his brain for 26 years.

Of not having received support of their friends, probably the health of Yamini could had deteriorated much more, because the tumor was pressing areas very important of the brain, causing an direct action on her view senses, hearing and the balance. In this case, doctor Shahinian concluded that it is indeed an extremely rare find.
